Property buyers pointed to Portugal
Property investment abroad: 25 April 2008Overseas property buyers have been advised to consider purchasing a residence in Portugal.
According to the Telegraph, investors who pick their location wisely could stand to make considerable returns.
The Silver Coast in Portugal was flagged up as one area where this goal can be achieved, as it offers attractions such as a growing tourist trade.
However, the newspaper said that property values in the region are currently lower than those in other parts of the country, such as the Algarve.
This means that people who enter the market could earn considerable capital gains if property values head upwards.
Commenting on its investment potential, the Telegraph said: "As a new destination property prices on the Silver Coast can be up to 25 per cent lower."
"The prospects for growth are good," it added.
This comes after holiday firm Eastern Eurotours praised the country for offering a wide range of lifestyle attractions.
Portugal was said to have something to appeal to every type of visitor, including good beaches, historical sites and "mouth-watering" food and drink.
