Investors could snap up bargain amid credit crisis
Property investment abroad: 23 April 2008Savvy investors could potentially snap up a relative bargain during the current economic crisis, according to industry analysts.
Amberlamb stated that many property sellers are being forced to cut the price of their stock as a result of the credit crunch.
This, it said, is because the difficulty in getting mortgages and investment funding is making it very difficult to attract potential buyers.
However, the group pointed out that this could work in the favour of those who do have the money to purchase a home.
Amberlamb added that since historically strong markets are likely to recover at some point in the future, the credit crunch could be a window of opportunity to get a bargain in such a place.
Rhiannon Williamson, director of the group, remarked: "Those who buy in very low today and cash in on the financial crisis will reap the dividends over the long-term."
This comes after the Independent suggested that investors purchase a property while prices are low, as no property downturn "lasts forever".
